1st National Tour

Theda Stemler

Theda Stemler (Annie) Theda has joined the first national company of Annie after a year tour as the orphan July with Annie's third national company. While with that company, she also understudied the title role (playing that part a total of 26 times). Theda fell in love with "show business" when she played the title role of Oliver presented by her fourth grade class in her native Virginia Beach. After winning the title of "Little Miss Virginia Beach of 1977," her award led to extensive personal appearances with such celebrities as Soupy Sales for the March of Dimes telethon, and Marilyn King (of the Kings sisters) and professional entertainers like Bob Newkirk and Maureen Arthur. Other stage and little theater productions include Oliver and Showstoppers 1978.
