Has anybody got the old footage of Lucy May Barker as Annie from 2004? She used to have them in parts on her YouTube but has since privatised them, shame. Would really be grateful if anybody saved…Continue

Does anybody know how the lovely gentleman is? Heard along the grapevine he'd apparently had a stroke and is in Carolina. Regardless of what's happened, hope he's recovering and doing well, if…Continue

Ah hi! I don't know how I just saw this now...
Hi Robyn, sorry for taking so long to reply, I was really busy this past week. Still, here I am!
My, what a funny story you told me hahahah. It must be so nice to be part of any cast like that - and even more to have friends in plays hahah! I have a friend in the US (thanks to the internet, of course, I met her in a Judy Garland message board! I'm a BIG Judy Garland fan, and I'm pretty anxious to see shoots and videos of Emily Rosenfeld's new show, where she plays her as a child!) who is an actress, and she just graduated college. I really hope to see her in a play soon, maybe when I'm able to travel abroad I'll go to New York, and perhaps by then she'll be on Broadway! Heheh then maybe cool things like that will happen.
Do you like musical movies, too? I'm a big fan of the classics - I love black and white films and a bunch of actors and actresses. When I was about your age I would spend my weekends making marathons of those films, but I would watch a lot of them over and over again because it was really hard to find dvds around here and there weren't many out there for download. My favorites are, apart from Judy Garland ones, The Sound of Music, Carousel, My Fair Lady and many many more hahah
Awwww geez you are so sweet! It makes me so so so happy to know that you have good memories with something I made. You know, I did them just for fun - when I was about your age if I'm not wrong. I wanted to try and make videos to post online (I wasn't mature at all at that age hahah). And then I did, because there wasn't any compilation of Annies.
Still, I was very proud of them. I met a bunch of nice people, including a woman who messaged me telling me how happy she was for keeping the show alive, because she was part of a London cast or something related. I answered her but she never answered back. This website makes me happy because some people give me weird looks when I tell I'm an Annie fan hahahah when I went to uni I found some people who understood my deep love for musicals, classical movies and, of course, Annie and other stage shows and it was really nice. But this place makes me so so happy because I have people to share things with. How wonderful is the internet? Heh, it's kinda magical.
I love the Dutch productions, too! Everything was perfectly made. What I like the most are the orchestras, I love the guitars in Hard Knock Life! Hahah
And about the Portuguese ones, I didn't like the HKL version as much. I think the meaning got a little bit lost, but still, it might make much more sense in european portuguese. Tomorrow is amazing to, the lyrics were beautiful and the girls playing Annie were really really good!
WOW, REALLY? My, sorry for saying that, but I thought you were a bit older. I thini that's because of most people I met here on the board. I became a fan of Annie when I was around 14 tho, so I believe we're on the same boat. I'm turning 25 in a few days, but I still feel young hahahah
You know, it's not a common thing for teenagers like you (and me when I became a fan) to like musicals and related things around here. We don't have this culture of theater and so on. I love it how young people learn to like it from a young age in England and the US. We don't even have many plays with kids around here - and I believe we've never had Annie because of the child labor laws. When I saw The Sound of Music there were like three or four teams of kids - it could be the same with Annie. But still, I'm never losing hopes hahahah
Don't worry, it happens to me all the time. I get a bit confused when I'm on my phone hahah too much technology confuses me a bit. Anyway, yes, it was Haruka's mom! She was really kind to me, a real wonderful person. Haruka was also one of the best Annies I've seen, her performances were amazing and she sang beautifully.
Ah yes, I've seen a lot of videos from the Portugal production! Our portuguese is a bit different from theirs, a lot of words and expressions are different, and a few verbs too. And, of course, the accent. hahah. But I could get most of what I've seen from their Annie production, and I must say their lyrics, specially the Tomorrow one, were really well translated. It's hard to put something to Portuguese and vice-versa, because it is much more complex than English.
Aaaah shame! I'm not into sports much, but I'd like to visit Rio. I haven't yet. We had some World Cup matches in my city tho, it was really fun. I remember going to class and seeing dutch people all around because they all were wearing orange hahah
How old are you?
Whoa, what a great topic! The one I did was all about Annie - I've decided to talk about the transformation from comic strips to stage and then to screen. It was really nice, my professor liked it. That was when I tried to find some of the pictures I used to have, but I had that same little problem you had. Well, at least what I did worked. Hope you succeed!
Awww how nice! England sounds like a great place, I'd love to travel around the country someday. :)
Unfortunately I don't have any more photos :( they all were in my old hd and I lost everything in there a few years ago. Wish I could help you! Are you doing a lecture on Annie? I did one once for college and I got all the images from google after a hard and long search so I could get good things lol
I'm okay, hope you are well, too! Where in the UK are you from? :)
Hi Robyn! Yes the page was mine. I had to delete it though - some people from the websites I took the pictures from didn't like my videos online, but I was really proud of the many viewers I had!
Hi, no I didn't make any website. That was my friend from Sweden, also named Katarina ;)
Here are some nice pictures of the 2012 Broadway Annie Revival so far:
