91-year-old Charles Strouse sings "Tomorrow"

No doubt some of you have already seen this, but if not:

Keep on smiling!

"Encore" on Disney+ premieres with a production of "Annie"

It's not one of the headline-making shows on Disney+, the new streaming service from the House of Mouse, but "Encore" is a show that reunites high school casts in the present day to perform their shows again, with help from professional director, choreographer, voice coach, etc.

I will probably not stick with it, but the first episode is about reuniting the cast of a California high school's 1996 production of Annie, so it might be of interest so some in the group.…

"Annie" at the Walnut Street Theater, Philadelphia, PA

Happy New Year, orphans and other Annie fans!

I will, alas, not be seeing the professional production at Philly's Walnut St. Theater (closes January 7), but thought I would share the website because there are lots of great photos from it:

Best to you all for 2018!

Good day,

I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and demand it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on ( for the full details.

Have a nice day.
Mr. Augustin.

Have I answered all of these posts?  I hope so!  I certainly wouldn't want you to KNOW what a conceited jack-ass I am.

I am playing Warbucks for the fifth time starting Friday.  The show is a first-rate cluster-f*ck.  We just sang through "If he should need the FBI" today...TODAY!!!  The show opens FRIDAY.  We have NEVER done "Something Was Missing".  Granted, I can do it in my sleep, but these are very power-hungry, very self-important directors/choreographers/stage managers behind this show.  If I said "just let me walk through this; I can do it on my own", you would think, from their reaction that I just put their hamsters in the microwave.  I have 3 Annies: a White one, an Hispanic one and an African American one.  Just about the time I learn a new number with one of them, they switch them out and then change everything.  Brother!  "There's No Business Like Show Business", huh?

Being Annie was THE highlight of my high school years. I had wanted to be Annie since I was ten. And yeh, I was almost 18 when I finally got to do it. But.....I felt 11 and that's all that matters. It was the time of my life. I am glad you got to play Warbucks, it is such an amazing role. I am glad you found this site too. I have been on it for...geez, I dunno, a good seven years at least. I used to have tons of Annie memorabilia but ending up selling it due to needing money. But there are some things I will not sell like that lyrics paper you mentioned.

oops sorry about the post below. I didn't read what it said under that photo.

what's funny is that four years earlier I was in a high school cast of Annie and played Annie. I was only a month away from 18! HA!
