I think Andrea is an Icon period but yes, the gays did help her career.  I have met her brother and could not tell either way if he was gay or not.  He is around her a lot but I think that's because they are really close.  He was actually on Broadway before she was in Pippin.  I think he just perfroms now as a hobby or when she does Christmas specials and special events.

I believe her brother Michael is gay so if that's the case, that's probably why she has an interest in promoting such events. Even so, many celebs seem to support gay rights,a good thing, possibly because many people in the entertainment world are gay. IMO ! That's sort of a generalization, but they have a platform to express their support that is seen, not like us everyday folks' quiet acceptance.

I get the impression from this and from the Rosie's Cruise that Andrea is a gay icon, similar to Judy Garland, Liza Minelli, etc. Go Andrea!

p.s. I thought that Andrea was sick and tired of Annie and anything related to it.

Still a beautiful voice! To old fan, I noticed that as well about the note changes. I particularly love how she does "I LOVE ya!", although she also sang it like that at the 1981 Tony's and on Broadway Plays Washington, so that particular change is not new.

That was nice. Do you notice that Andrea has changed tomorrow just a little, a few notes, how long a note is held etc over the years ? I wonder if her brother ever went further with his own musical career ?

Thanks for this. OF
